5.6: Second Eviction

EVEN: Welcome to Abnormality- Season 5! We are back with an all new season with 12 new housemates who are willing to fight it out to win the competition! Over the next 9 weeks, all 12 housemates will be battling it out for the grand prize of $350,000 as well as a place in the hall of fame as one of our winners. Previously on Abnormality, Janelle and Stewart found themselves on the block after being nominated by the current HOH; Griffin. Alongside them was Chef Bertha who had received her automatic nomination from the first HOH challenge. Janelle luckily won the POP challenge where she saved herself from the chopping block. Jin was nominated to replace Janelle on the block following the use of Janelle's veto. Now that the eviction day is here, Jin, Stewart and Chef Bertha will face the vote and one of them will be going home tonight! Who will be the unlucky housemate to go home first? We'll find out on this episode of... Abnormality!

GRIFFIN: I've had a talk with the producers and they have told me that they have ordered in all of the costumes for the custom dungeons and dragons game for us all!
BRANDON: That's great news! There is one potential issue though.
GRIFFIN: Oh really? You don't think the costumes will be too realistic do you? You know what TV people are like, they don't allow certain things on TV because of... well, whatever silly reason they can think of.

BRANDON: You may have to send one of those costumes back. If Stewart isn't going to be here, we won't need his costume.
GRIFFIN: He's going to stay though, we all know this.
BRANDON: I know the plan is to get Chef Bertha out... but I've heard rumours circulating around... People aren't too sure on going through with the plan.

GRIFFIN: I see... I hope I have your support on this... I don't want to have everyone targeting me next week for burning bridges that didn't need to have been burnt.
BRANDON: You know I'll vote her out, I'm going to keep my promise to Charlotte.

GRIFFIN: Who did you hear say they would vote someone other than Chef Bertha?
BRANDON: Our main allies said they'd vote Chef Bertha, anyone outside of that circle is undecided though.
GRIFFIN: Hmm... interesting. I wonder if we can take advantage of the situation? Get people to vote in Stewart's favour to keep him in.

GRIFFIN: The eviction day is here and I am quite nervous about it all. Last week was gruelling seeing Charlotte walk out, this week is even more tense though- especially that the person who could potentially go home was due to my decisions. I'm just praying that the best outcome can happen today, not only for my game but for everyone else's too.

BRANDON: Already on it, I got Stewart to go butter up some of the other housemates that are sitting on the fence. It might just be the thing that'll help him win more support and keep him here.
GRIFFIN: He may have enough support already, but I'd rather not put that to the test. We need him here.

*BRANDON puts down one of his cards.*

BRANDON: Looks like you need to pick up 3 cards Griff!
GRIFFIN: How the... You're getting better at this game.
BRANDON: I learned from the best.

*JANELLE observes one of the pieces of artwork in the bedroom.*

JANELLE: Look at it! It's giving me a headache just staring at it.
BLAIR: Zzz...
JANELLE: Lovey, aren't you getting up? It's almost midday dear. Come on now!

BLAIR: Nuuuuuuuu, just five more minutes...
JANELLE: Lovey, I won't ask again. Get up.
BLAIR: Nuuuuu... please.
JANELLE: You're only making a fool out of yourself. Now get up!
BLAIR: ...Fine.

*BLAIR wakes up, looking absolutely shattered.*

BLAIR: Don't ever ask me to get up again!
JANELLE: Oh behave dear, it's not a good look on you to be picking fights.
BLAIR: What are you doing anyway?
JANELLE: I'm just looking at this picture my love. So many vibrant colours, it's making me a little queasy just looking at it.
BLAIR: Stop looking at it then.

*JANELLE takes a seat while BLAIR sits on the side of her bed.*

BLAIR: Only a few more days until I can hopefully get back onto normal food.
JANELLE: I do feel for you! I couldn't imagine eating that horrible stuff.
BLAIR: I'm so hungry and tired... I feel exhausted.
JANELLE: I'll try to sneak you a bit of sour dough, a good carb overload will do you wonders, trust me!
BLAIR: Nah, you'd get punished... Griffin tried to snaffle a few things but got told from the producers not to do so.

JANELLE: Griffin? That little weasel?
BLAIR: He's not a weasel, he's nice.
JANELLE: Not to me, he gunned for me and put me up on the block.
BLAIR: It's all part of the game Janelle.
JANELLE: Yes, I'm aware. Once you turn against Janelle though, you get her full wrath! I take no prisoners.

BLAIR: Janelle...
JANELLE: I know he is your friend, but he is playing the game too! You need to watch out for him.
BLAIR: He wouldn't send me home.
JANELLE: Are you sure about that? He was happy to send me home, one of your closest allies!

JANELLE: I am absolutely delighted to have saved myself this week lovies! I just wish I wouldn't have been in that position to start with. No worries though, Mr. Griffin will be expecting a big shock next week if I win HOH. I will swing the pendulum so hard it'll knock him from his perch!

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

JIN: If only money was so easy. I would live happy man.
TRICERATOPS: Tell me about it dude, I'd buy a mansion for Gee, perhaps a kittie friend too.
CHEF BERTHA: Yer young 'uns shud start savin'. Me been savin' all me life and still don't 'ave enuff to retire. Me needs to be like dem Kardasimans.
JIN: Daughter of mine, she loves them!

CHEF BERTHA: Pfffft, still on dem choppin' block. Feckin' young 'uns... me's never had dem good chances in life. Sum people just luck out and dey get bucks fer doing pretty much nothin'. Just look at dem Kardasimans... Blegh, feckers... but poor ol' Chef Bertha? She's been slavin' away in her kitchen fer countless decades, dealing with young 'uns throwing fire crackers at the sprinklers, throwing slop back at me, one time dey literally buried a dead cow in me garden patch. And what did me get after all dat? Back aches, and young 'uns still going after me here. Probably cuz me sees them fer what dey really are... Lazy and entitled. Like dem Kardasimans me mentioned earlier. All dey do is squirt fillers in their lips and arses and den dey twerk on Simstagram and dey get millions of simoleons! Me ain't gonna do dat fer a living tho... Chef Bertha has got her DIGNITY. Oh, and also because one of dem dorm young 'uns developed an 'app', and made me lips and arse look so fat dat deh blueberry girl from Wonka would look anorexic in comparison, and den spread dem pictures all over teh campus. Me still wants to sue the arse of dat fecker fer slander, but me can't afford me own retirement, let alone a lawsuit. Feckin' system screwing poor ol' Chef Bertha over again... Life ain't fair. And all me want is just sum peace and quiet. IS DAT ASKING FER TOO MUCH, HUH?!?!

TRICERATOPS: What would you buy with a HUUUUUUGE amount of money Jin?
JIN: Oooh... I dunno. Perhaps, expensive tea. Cheap tea- tastes no good.
TRICERATOPS: Millions of dollars... on tea! I like it!
JIN: What would you get?
TRICERATOPS: I'd buy a big dinosaur statue, naturally. I'd like to spoil my baby Gee, then maybe go on a luxury trip around the word. I'd be dressed as Carmen Miranda and I'd have a mimosa in both hands.

JIN: Exotic, I like mimosas!
TRICERATOPS: You'd be able to come along too then, we could try out every mimosa we could find... and more!
JIN: I like idea, only if we can try different foods and leisure too.
TRICERATOPS: Of course Jin, you have to make the most of these opportunities.
CHEF BERTHA: Pffft...

CHEF BERTHA: Yer young 'uns are all focused on material things. Me wud keep it fer me retirement instead of spendin' it on food and holidays. Young 'uns never seen the big picture in teh long run!
TRICERATOPS: Sorry if we've upset you Chef Bertha.
CHEF BERTHA: Me not upset, me haven't been upset in years! Me just disappointed with life and the horrible young 'uns in it.

TRICERATOPS: I'm sorry about that Chef Bertha. Some kids can be real asshats nowadays! I know that from my school, they were horrible to me for being different.
CHEF BERTHA: Thank yer fer understanding.
TRICERATOPS: On a positive note though, there must be something you would love to buy if you had the money?

CHEF BERTHA: Hmmmmmm... me not sure, me think me'd like some sort of veg picker. Me can't pick 'em out of me patch back home anymore without pullin' me back. Me hate it when me pull me back, me in pain for days and 'ave to get stretched out.

TRICERATOPS: I do like Chef Bertha, you just need to look past her thorny personality. Deep down inside, she's just another human being who wants to be happy. I've tried my best to be nice to her because I know how horrible things in your life can bring you down. She has my respect, even if she is a bit crazy at times... but who isn't right?

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

LANA: That's not even the most unusual one I've ever had.
JONAH: No? What was the most unusual job?
LANA: I had a quiet period in my acting work, so I got a job as a golf-ball diver. I worked on this very luxurious golf course and when people used to whack the balls into the ponds and lakes I dived straight in to collect them. I do miss it sometimes but it isn't the dream.

JONAH: That's pretty cool. I find very niche jobs like that very interesting.
LANA: I bet in your line of work you have come across quite the unusual job?
JONAH: Oh yeah, some of the stuff we have to engineer is out there. This one client wanted a fully operated coffee wall before, kind of like the feature in the outside area of the house. I told him it wasn't very safe though if boiling hot coffee was pouring down the wall. He still wanted it though.

JONAH: I had a sit down with Lana and we got talking about all sorts, family, friends, we even talked about some of the weird and wonderful jobs we've had in the past. She must have been a strong swimmer to go diving for golf balls all day every day!

LANA: Though a coffee wall would be exquisite, I can see the huge problem right there with the whole boiling water aspect. I always remember the first boiling water tank I saw, I never knew they existed until I went to pick up my cousin from work. He works in an office and it was just there in the kitchen.
JONAH: At our firm we create a lot of those, they're fairly easy to make but can be quite dangerous if not finished correctly.

LANA: Oh my, I don't want to imagine what could possibly go wrong.
JONAH: There's a lot of ways it can go wrong. Luckily we haven't had an accident for over 3 years now.
LANA: That is good to hear. I've only ever witnessed one accident at the golf course, it was a rather safe place.

JONAH: An accident? What happened?
LANA: This kid was run over by a golf kart, he survived but bruised his arm.
JONAH: That sounds terrible.
LANA: It was quite the shock,  the staff were very hands on though and got to the kid quickly.

LANA: I like Jonah, he is starting to open up again now and be the cool guy he is. I got into a very in depth conversation about careers and feel like I've grown closer to him. Who knows, it could be the start of a very good friendship. Either way, keep the people you like close and you'll be happy!

JONAH: Awesome! Say... have you thought about who you're going to vote today? I've dwindled my choices down to two people but I'm not sure where to put my vote.
LANA: If you're struggling you could just abstain and get the HOH advantage? I've been considering that myself, I don't want to see any of them go home just yet.

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

AMAR: Today is the eviction, how are you feeling Stewart?
STEWART: Uhm... I-I'm very scared, but I'm trying to stay positive.
AMAR: I was going to say, you're vibration is all over the place today. I can't blame you though, I imagine it is a very testing position to be in.
STEWART: Y-You have no idea. L-Luckily I'm up against two people instead of one though which is somewhat better.

STEWART: P-People keep reassuring me that I-I won't be out today, but I have a funny feeling in my gut that tells me otherwise. No one has come to me for a deal and I-I'm not sure where I stand with a lot of the people in this house. I-I don't want this to be my curtain call, we're not even at the end of act one yet.

AMAR: Going up against two other players definitely increases your odds of staying in the game.
STEWART: T-True, but I-I am feeling very unlucky. I-I don't know who is on my side in this game- I don't want to get backdoored.
AMAR: You know what you need to do?
STEWART: W-What is it?

AMAR: You... need to... eat some pomegranates.
STEWART: P-Pomegranates? I-I'm lost.
AMAR: Allegedly pomegranates are supposed to bring luck to those who eat them, you must have a generous portion though.
STEWART: I've never heard of that before. D-Does it work?
AMAR: I haven't tried it myself, I do know a friend who stands by it though and he has been very successful.

STEWART: I-I might try that... w-what would secure my place in here for another week is votes, votes to get my rivals out. C-Can I ask which way you are going to vote?
AMAR: I'm split on my choices at the moment.
STEWART: Am I one of those choices?
AMAR: No. I'm contemplating Chef Bertha and Jin.

AMAR: Today is the eviction and I have been approached by Stewart. I wasn't planning on voting him out anyway, however it is nice to have a conversation with him about it. I do like Stewart and find his timid nature interesting. Perhaps I should ask him for an alliance if he stays in the house? I think he could be a great ally, he seems loyal.

STEWART: So, y-you aren't going to vote to evict me?
AMAR: No, I don't have any intention of doing that.
STEWART: AHHHHH! T-That is so good to hear... now I just need to see where everyone else is thinking of voting.
AMAR: I can't speak for her, but I can imagine that Triceratops would want you to stay. She likes you.

STEWART: Phew, I-I feel like a weight has been taken off my shoulders.
AMAR: I still would check in with everyone though, making as many connections in this game is going to benefit you in the long run.
STEWART: Good point! I'll get straight onto it. Thanks Amar!

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

BRANDON: Let's see how the prisoner is doing. You okay Blair?

*BLAIR wipes away a tear.*

BRANDON: Blair? Hey. Are you okay? You look like you've been crying?
BLAIR: N...no, shut up! I'm just overwhelmed by the upcoming eviction.

BRANDON: Blair, we both know there is nothing to worry about with our plan. If there is something wrong, you can talk to me about it. I'm a good listener.
BLAIR: ...I'm more worried about my place here two weeks running being a have-not. I may not be used to an amazing life or anything outside of this house but I deserve better than this!

BRANDON: Ugh, yeah. That must really suck, especially two weeks in a row. You may not believe it, but I totally get what you mean. I am also second guessing myself a bit competition wise, and that sucks, for both of us.
BLAIR: I'm just thinking that me entering this competition was a mistake.
BRANDON: Hey, don't even think like that! You might not be at your best in the challenges, but look what you already built yourself. You have already made quite a few friends here, like Stewie, Griffin and me. That is way more than Chef Bertha probably had... maybe in her life. And you are safe this week, maybe next week will be your week where you can show everybody what you are capable of.

BRANDON: It is an absolute scary feeling to not know where you are at in a situation, I've been in that place plenty of times already. It's not just in this game too, but specifically when Abby was a baby. In this game, you can't help yourself by being in this mindset which often leads to second guessing everything. I feel really bad for Blair because I understand where her worries are coming from. Even though I already feel like shit for not winning the climbing challenge in a time of danger, I bet that being a have-not must be way worse. From our alliance meetings I know she is a leader figure, and also a strong one in my eyes... So I really hope that she takes my advice to heart. Part of me also hopes that I get some cookie points next time there are some on offer.

BLAIR: You think so?
BRANDON: Absolutely. If it makes you feel better, I had the exact same feelings last week... not only was I on the block, I also lost in a challenge that I should have won easily due to my fitness being a fire fighter. I was happy for Jin because I have huge respect for that man, but at the same time I never felt more defeated in my life. I was convinced I was going home. That gave me the fire to fight for my place though, and it worked, even though a close friend was next to me on the block. Now look at it, the person who wanted me gone is on the block. I'm not one to hold a grudge easily but I feel some kind of satisfaction from it. If I can work through it, I am convinced you are too!

BLAIR: I just wish I had some energy to try and fight.
BRANDON: Easy, preserve that energy until you need it for next week! Then you unleash it in the HOH challenge and get yourself out of being a have-not. It's not going to be easy, but I can see you are a fighter.
BLAIR: I would like to eat something solid for a change.

BRANDON: I have faith in you! You can do this Blair.
BLAIR: Thank you so much... yeah, it's time to take back the power... I WANT SOME GODDAMN DOUGHNUTS! I NEED TO HAVE THEM!
BRANDON: There you go, focus on the doughnuts and get yourself out of this place. You can do it!
BLAIR: Thanks Brandon. I appreciate the support.

BLAIR: Brandon is such a cool dude. He's the father figure in this house and I really admire him supporting me through this game, especially this last week. I've never been so hungry before... But, I'm not giving in just yet. I won't have a third week of slop! No ma'am. Fuck that. Bring on the roast dinner! Bring on the tapas! BRING ON THE DOUGHNUTS!!! Gosh, now I'm hungrier. Oh god, why have I got to constantly think of food.

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

JIN: The vote soon. I'm nervous now.
CHEF BERTHA: Me too, me not sure wat me gonna do if dey send me home.
JIN: I have confession. I told house to vote out me.
CHEF BERTHA: Me hearin' this right? Yer throwin' yerself to the lions to save me? Why?
JIN: I like game and house, but family... I want to see them.

JIN: I really like this game. I like my family too, I would like to see them.
PRODUCER: Are you quitting the game Jin?
JIN: ...No. I asked housemates to out vote Jin, send him home. I still want to play, family blues though.

CHEF BERTHA: Me don't know wat to say.
JIN: I will still play, if they keep me. I have my bags packed if not.
CHEF BERTHA: Me will win teh game fer you if dey vote yer out.
JIN: No need, I'm happy with the game. I've been proud of my view.

CHEF BERTHA: Me don't understand though, why now?
JIN: It's early, game still a long play. Someone else could play for long run instead of me. I'm good but okay.
CHEF BERTHA: Me don't want dem young 'uns to 'ave poisoned your mind. Me knows what dey are like. Dey get in yer ears and say all sorts of jibber jabber!

JIN: They talk lots of pop culture, I have no idea what it is most times.
CHEF BERTHA: Me heard it too. If only dere were sensible young 'uns, teh world wud be a betta place fer sure.
JIN: Some young people are nice, not all the same.
CHEF BERTHA: Me 'aven't met 'em yet.

JIN: Trust me, young 'uns can be nice. My children are good.
CHEF BERTHA: Me could believe it, yer a good father. Me bet you'd teach 'em discipline from when they be lil' munchkins.
JIN: Munchkins? What is a munchkin?
CHEF BERTHA: Me dunno, think it's sum sort of magical dwarf or summin'.

JIN: Isn't hat wizard of Oz? The flying things.
CHEF BERTHA: Me dunno, me 'aven't seen teh wiz of Oz. Me parents said it was a waste of time.
JIN: It's a good film, have to watch sometime.

EVEN: That concludes this episode of Abnormality! Unfortunately Chef Bertha was unable to save herself and has been evicted from the house.
